Following the acquisition of another top global pharma company, both IT functions needed to be merged under one collective way of working to maximize business value.
To achieve this, we led the collaborative work to create the holistic IT Capability Framework then authored the global IT policies which underpinned it. We facilitated IT Capability Maturity Assessments, Maturity Target Setting and Improvement Roadmap creation. Then to deliver the improvements we established/ran the body governing the framework implementation and established/ran the Programme & Projects Management Office (maximum of 14 programs and over 70 projects with +250 members) implementing the framework and meeting compliance obligations. We also created several new IT capabilities from scratch including "Emerging Technology Enabled Innovation Management" and "IT Business Continuity Management".

The IT function was evolving from multiple geographically dispersed teams into a central global function and needed to establish a common way of working across the globe.
To achieve this, we led the collaborative work to create the holistic IT Capability Framework, then to establish the framework and improve it we trained 16 existing IT Six Sigma black belts in IT Capability Maturity Assessments, Maturity Target Setting and Improvement Roadmap creation. We also enhanced their methodology to leverage recognized IT best practices (COBIT/ITIL etc) and trained them in this to accelerate their roadmap delivery.
